Eau Claire, WI Chiropractors Quote of the week 9.17 – 9.21.2012 educate yourself on your options of chiropractors and chiropractic before making a choice.
This week I have to take some continuing education in order to keep my chiropractic license up to date. This is true for almost anyone that holds a state issued license that they are required to take more education to stay up to date, in my case in order to be a chiropractor every two years I have to take 40 hours of continuing education.
Therefore I decided to make this weeks quote about the imnportance of education in everyone’s life. Many people believe that school is the only way to become educated however one can educate themselves through conversation or reading on their own without participating in a formal education program.
With that thought in mind I thought about the decision that people with a spine and nervous system (note: everyone has a spine and nervous system) have to make when choosing a chiropractor to help their spine and nerves stay healthy. Most people sadly neglect this decision until their back or neck bothers them and then due to the urgency of the pain they make an uniformed decision.
Some great questions to think of when seeking a spine expert or chiropractor are:
1) What makes you or your office different?
a) What are you especially good at?
b) What are you not good at? What can’t you help with?
2) How much is it going to cost?
a) Is the office open with their costs? Will they provide you a list of services and charges?
3) How convienent is the location?
a) Is the office accessible and if not is the doctor or office different enough to go out of your way?
4) How is the customer service and reviews?
a) Do they care about their customers and how easy is it to discuss your satisfaction with the doctor?
b) What do other people think do they have reviews?
c) Is the office efficient yet personal, do you feel like they know you or that you are just another number and budget boost?
If you are really wondering about customer service ask the doctor how many patient’s they see a day?
